Kettle Corn Recipe

DSC_0111

Kettle corn isn’t my favorite, but I know a lot of people love it and of course the kids do because it’s so sweet. Regular popcorn I’ll make anytime, but this one is a treat. It’s really easy, and a big crowd pleaser!

Be sure to buy non GMO, organic kernels! For a more healthy option, check out this iodine rich popcorn recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil of your choice (I like coconut)
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

1. Heat oil in a large kettle over medium heat.

2. Add kernels, and place the lid on the kettle.

3. Wait for the kernels to pop.

4. Once they start popping, add the sugar and replace the lid.

5. While the lid is on, shake pot occasionally for about a minute then remove from heat, and wait for them to stop popping.

6. Then, salt to taste.
